History Of Bloody Mary Cocktail

The drink originated in paris, and was supposedly made for Ernest Hemingway, at the time his wife was not allowing him to drink so he wanted a drink in which she could not smell the booze on his breath. Vodka, along with tomato juice and spices made it almost impossible to smell the alcohol.

Recipe Notes & F.A.Q’s

Is there a different type of liquor I can use?

Vodka is by far the preferred liquor but if needed white rum is a good substitute.

Does it need to be Tabasco?

Definitely not, it just needs to be some form of liquid hot sauce to give you the desired spice.

My drink is too strong for my liking.

We recommend lessening the vodka and adding some extra tomato juice.
